Nothing says "I love you" like following your partner up 200 kms of dirt track, heading straight into an oncoming storm in the heart of Iceland. Luckily I married the right women and she did just that, during our honeymoon. Unfortunately, we were unprepared for braving this storm by bike and ended up taking a bus for that section.

But Iceland is so much more than dirt tracks and ferocious storms. The geologically young landscape is dynamic and constantly evolving, with active and collapsed volcanoes alike. The largest glaciers in Europe can be found in the centre of Iceland.
